The 11th Chungju Tangeum Lake National Life Sports Rowing Championship

September 6–7, 2025
At the 11th Chungju Tangeum Lake National Sports Rowing Championship,
held at the Chungju Tangeum Lake International Rowing Center,
The ATHRIX Rowing Team achieved an outstanding result by securing 3rd place
in the Men’s U18 Quadruple Sculls (4x+) event.
Despite competing in the U18 category, the crew had an average age of just 14.5,
making them significantly younger than their competitors.
Furthermore, due to each student’s individual academic schedules,
the team was only able to conduct one on-water training session per week,
resulting in a total of just seven on-water sessions over three months—
a challenge that, by all standards, could be considered highly ambitious.
The determined athletes cutting through the water in the race were
Lim Junpyo (14), Han Seojin (14), Chu Seungwoo (14), and Han Seoyul (16).
All four students are currently enrolled at Chadwick International School,
and none of them had prior competitive rowing experience.
Rather than relying on volume, ATHRIX focused on high-density, precision-based coaching,
delivering specialized training that led to measurable performance outcomes.
Notably, CEO Wooseung Nam personally served as the coxswain (cox) for this race.
In their very first rowing competition, the team successfully reached the podium—
a result that stands as a meaningful culmination of
the students’ hard work and dedication throughout the summer.
